3-DAY SEQUENCE OF EVENTS
 

Social Programmes and Entertainment
  • A Cultural Evening would be organised by CII & Government of Rajasthan on the evening of 1 August 2008 at Royal City Palace, Jaipur. This also includes Music & Dance Show best of Jaipur Stalls, Dinner, Puppet Show, Camel Riding, Mehandi, etc
  • Another Cultural Evening would be organised on the evening of 2 August 2008
  • See places of interest
  • Shopping
  • Entertainment, both, in which they want to witness a performance and activities in which they can participate themselves
  • Dining and eating out Best of Jaipur – Veg & Non Veg
  • Dancing
  • Enjoying their  drinks with loved ones or close knit groups
  • Freedom from daily chores like cooking, washing, cleaning etc
In order to cater to the above the following activities are being organized during this weekend -
  • Music show, food bazaar and night bazaar at the City Palace on Friday i.e. 1 August 2008
  • A fashion show, Music show / Fashion Parade at Jaigarh Fort on Saturday i.e. 2 August 2008
  • Polo Matches at Polo Ground on Saturday i.e. 2 August 2008
  • Golfing in the morning at the Golf Course
  • Morning walk at the Central Park
  • Heritage walks through the old city
  • Discounts for shopping of jewellery, saris, (Bandhej and Lehria), Jaipuri Razaies, and Handloom. Discounts will be worked out with known brands like Gem Palace, Suranas’s Amrapali, Rana’s, Zari, Cottons, Soma, Anokhi, etc up roll.
Heritage Walk
Delegates will be taken for an early morning heritage walk on 1 & 2 August 2008.
 
Also the Sawan Teej Festival
Dovetailing with Jaipur by Nite Fun Fest will be the Sawan Teej Festival from 1-5 August 2008 organized by Department Of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan.
Teej is celebrated with immense fun and fanfare in the capital city of Jaipur. On this day women and young girls wear their best cloths and adorn themselves with fine jewellery. They gather at a nearby temple or a common place and offer prayers to Goddess Parvati for well-being of their husbands.
On the occasion of Teej, markets in Jaipur are stocked with trendiest women accessories and cloths. Most of the fabric cloths display laheria (tie and dye) prints. Sweet shops keep different Teej sweets but ghewar is the main sweet of the season. At some shops malpuas and fenis are also prepared in great quantities. The procession will commence on 4th and 5th August(evening) from City Palace.
